The Grannom Caddis Pupa is a match the hatch fly pattern to imitate the swimming, rising pupal stage of the soon to emerge adult caddisfly. This stage is highly targeted by trout because it's more of a guaranteed meal than the adults that quickly fly off the surface. The shuck on this fly imitates the beginning of this emergence stage. It's a visual trigger for the trout. The Riverfly UV Contrast Dubbing adds to this appearance. The soft-hackled collar imitates legs kicking as the fly swims upwards towards the surface film. Fish this fly during caddis hatches or as a prospecting wet fly. It's especially effective in the spring when this species is most active. • Shop Link: https://www.ebay.com/usr/softhacklefl... • Website: https://allenmcgee.blogspot.com/ • • Books: • https://www.amazon.com/Fly-Fishing-So... • https://www.amazon.com/Spiders-Flymph... • https://www.amazon.com/Tying-Fishing-... • End screen courtesy of Vecteezy.com
