A South Korean military KC-330 aircraft evacuated 97 citizens and their Lebanese family members from Lebanon on October 5 amid rising tensions in the region. The evacuation followed President Yoon Suk Yeol’s order to deploy military aircraft to remove South Koreans from areas affected by the escalating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. The aircraft landed in Beirut on October 4 and returned safely to South Korea.
