Marlin makes some of my favorite guns... but they have some SERIOUS quality control issues. This new 39A is an example of that. Seriously, for decades the 39A has been the top choice for a .22 LR Lever Action. Now? Not so much. Just sloppy. Now, this one was made in the original Marlin Factory... what this is... this is a gun made by people knowing their Job is done soon but they are Union so they just dont care anymore. This is what Remington needs to fix. • The action is not just rough and gritty... but flat out unuseable. We can't sell this to anyone. So we have to send it back. • My question is who looked at this gun and said, Yeah, ship that out. The guy inspecting it? The guy that had to test fire it? This one wasn't a Slip Through the Cracks issue... this was a Push It Out The Door because we just Don't Care anymore. The Lettering alone should have made it go back. The stock should have made it go back. The action should have made it go back. The pins should have made it go back.
