Sonogno a fairytale village of stone buildings in the Valle Verzasca Ticino Switzerland ! • - • Sonogno, the farthest village in the Valle Verzasca, has preserved its characteristic townscape with old houses and alleyways. On the Piazzetta is a typical residence of the Verzasca Valley, the former Casa Genardini, now the seat of the Val Verzasca Museum. In the immediate vicinity is an old bread oven, which is still in operation today. At Casa della lana (House of Wool), manual workers process sheep's wool into handmade products. In the upper part of the village, a fresco depicting the Last Judgment can be admired on the wall of a farmhouse.
