This step directs fluid away from where you have swelling up the side of your body into the functioning nodes of your underarm. Take the time now to position your leg on a low stool and/or pillow. • Place one hand on the inside of your upper leg; one side on the back of the upper leg • Gently stretch the skin towards the side of the leg. Depending on how comfortable you are, you can do this technique with one hand.... or both hands together. • Now shift your hands slightly down the leg. Continue this same massage technique 3 times in this one spot. Slow and rhythmical • Moving your hands to just above the knee continue in the same manner: • 3 cycles in this one spot. Stretching and releasing the skin. Moving from the inside to the outside of the leg • Now place your hand on the outside of your knee with alternating hands stretch the skin in an upward motion towards the hip crossing the hip to the underarm. • Now repeat with Pam 3 times on this one spot. Stretch and release the skin • We are redirecting fluid from the leg crossing the hip and moving towards the underarm nodes.
