My M1 Garand with an initial look at the modern M2 Ball ammunition offered by the CMP. I fired the rounds at a target set at 100 yards in volleys of three with one full clip of 8 rounds. Due to the age and unknown history of these rifles especially on the secondary market, extreme caution should be taken before firing your rifle for the first time. • The results were good with only round not feeding properly. The difference in the recoil between the ball rounds and standard commercial hunting ammo is very noticeable. In the end though, this brief demonstration revealed my sights were off a little and in a future video I’ll adjust the sights. I will also go a little more in depth on the accuracy. • I am not a qualified gunsmith or expert I am just sharing the way I do this in accordance with the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) recommendations and their M1 Owners Manual. • 1.
