Although Netflix has just released a second season for British Television drama series Top Boy, the whole world has been following Dushane and Jamie’s stories until season 4 now, and everyone is asking if there will be a 5th season. Now, let’s begin! • Ronan Bennett's Top Boy or Top Boy: Summerhouse is a British criminal drama series. Top Boy premiered in the fall of 2011 on Channel 4, introducing viewers to Dushane (played by Ashley Walters), a twenty-something boy who sells drugs for a living, Sully (played by Kano), Dushane's associate, and a variety of other characters. The show follows Ra'Nell as he tries to put a stop to the drug conflict in his village. The first and second seasons were broadcast exclusively on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom, but the program was soon terminated. Following Drake's interest, Netflix picked up the show for a third season as a Netflix Original. Top Boy: Summerhouse, the original series, has been added to Netflix. • The new season of Top Boy, which was resurrected by Netflix in 2019, starts up six months after the thrilling finale, in which Dushane organized the arrest of rival gang leader Jamie (played by Michael Ward) before offering to help mediate his release in exchange for an alliance. Dushane's mafia lifestyle appears to be wearing him down. Then there's girlfriend Shelly, who is blackmailed for assisting in the burial of her ex boyfriend's victim due to her dark history. Thankfully, a short exhumation and a trip to the garbage cure her headache more than any aspirin. Dushane is on a roll in the fourth season. • Your heart is definitely racing, your head is spinning, and you're probably flooded with a myriad of questions if you've made it all the way to the end of season four (or season two, as Netflix would have us think). Only another season can definitely answer all those questions. But the lingering big question is…will there be a season 5 of Top Boy? Okay, so Netflix hasn't officially confirmed that there will be a third season of Top Boy on Netflix. However, considering the series' enormous success and, you know, genuine Drake's support, it appears like Top Boy will return for a third installment. Which is great news for us because we have a lot to finish up. • If it does though, Season 5 of Top Boy is expected to air at some point in the future, given the show's success and celebrity endorsement. If that tantalizing cliffhanger (you know the one) isn't followed up with anything similarly thrilling, fans will surely be irritated. • The previous seasons of the show were quite successful due to the story, actors, and conversations. Dushane was meant to transfer over the responsibility of the drug distribution to Jamie as part of his retirement plan.
