The Palace Museum in Beijing has opened an exhibit showing archived photography from the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China. These photos haven’t been shown since the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949. The exhibit features photography of Empress Dowager Cixi in her forties – sent by American diplomats to China – and photos of the last Emperor Puyi and his wife, Empress Wanrong. • • Subscribe us on Youtube:    / cctvnewsbeijing   • Download for IOS: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cctvn... • Download for Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/de... • Follow us on: • Facebook:   / cctvnewschina   • Twitter:   / cctvnews   • Google+: https://plus.google.com/+CCTVNEWSbeijing • Tumblr:   / cctvnews   • Weibo: http://weibo.com/cctvnewsbeijing
