Teachers know how easily a classroom can get out of control, and in this video, we look to relate chaos theory to the same way to a classroom. First off, we take a look at the many applications of chaos theory, which include physics, mathematics, computer science, ecology, biology, and many many more subjects. The video then continues to give a brief overview of chaos theory and some of it's most important aspects. The butterfly effect is one thing that comes up time and time again. Unpredictability and another factor of the butterfly effect. I give some prime examples of chaos in the video. Next chaos theory is applied to group dynamics, which is where it mostly relates to education. After exploring that part, I give some ideas for how to teach to prevent chaos in the classroom. Part of the instruction deals with managing the initial conditions of a system. I then review several initial conditions, some of those conditions a classroom's lighting, the order, the assignment, and many many more. This video is part of a playlist brought to you by Teachings in Education. Other videos in the playlist include Bloom's taxonomy, classroom management, the flipped classroom a learning model, and more.
