These are the 4 ways you can throw a lead hook. • To throw the perfect lead hook, the first thing you need to keep in mind is your starting position. The wrong position won't allow you to get as much power behind the lead hook. If you are orthodox, you will use your left hand, southpaws, on the other hand, will use their right hand. To do that, I am going to throw a punch with my right hand. This puts the weight on my front foot, and that's the perfect position to throw a lead hook with maximum power. You can also slip while moving your weight to your front foot to get into position for a powerful lead hook. Anything you throw with your backhand will get you into the right position. • The lead hook also has its variations. In this video, I am going to demonstrate lead hook variations such as the mid-range hook. I will also cover the short-range hook, the long-range hook, and the lead hook to the body. • The lead hook to the body is by far my favourite punch in boxing. It has helped me win a lot of fights as a professional boxer. I was able to really master this punch but as you may probably guess it didn't quite happen overnight.
