Autumn Galas are drawing to a close now, October is nearly through and the Mid-Hants Railway added their edition to the gala calendar with a GWR aimed gala with two Great Western guests appearing in a 6 engine strong lineup. • 7822 'Foxcote Manor' and Large Prairie 5199 we're brought in alongside Standard 4MT Tank 80078 to star at the event held over the weekend of the 19th to the 21st of October with the usual intensive timetable of local anf freight trains mixed in with the usual service trains. • I was to visit the Gala on the Saturday and was met with spectacular autumn weather of clear skies and a warm breeze which made for some fine filming. The atmosphere was typically classic for this SR byway, despite the GWR presence on the line.
