IKP Coverage of the Kenkoy’s 90th Anniversary Exhibit: Si Kenkoy at ang Sining ni Tony Velasquez • IARFA Exhibit Hall • Nicanor Reyes Hall Building • The two week exhibit showcases the original art komiks strips representing the decades of the 30s, 40s, and the 50s. Known as the father of Philipppine Komiks, Velasquez was the one who paved the way for the komiks industry in the country with the creation of Kenkoy in 1929.
