Dr. Hans Rosling, renowned lecturer on the visual application of data and statistics was the featured speaker at the 32nd Annual Joseph Mountin Lecture at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on October 26, 2012. Using existing data sets, Dr. Rosling presentations on global trends such as population growth, and the relationship between poverty and the health of individuals as well as the health of economies often run counter to conventional wisdom. His charge is to view data objectively and let the data tell the story. Using software pioneered by his Gapminder Foundation, Dr. Rosling makes data sing using data visualization tools such as animated charts and graphs in this year's fascinating and humorous presentation. • • Comments on this video are allowed in accordance with our comment policy: http://www.cdc.gov/SocialMedia/Tools/... • • This video can also be viewed at • http://streaming.cdc.gov/vod.php?id=9...
