In the three years since Joseph Alessi's move to S.E. Shires we have seen a number of great developments from this collaboration, including his custom and Q series tenor and alto trombone designs. During this time the Eastman family, through Backun Musical Services, has also begun the process of reviving the Laskey line of mouthpieces, well-renown in their own right. When the news came out that Alessi and Laskey were collaborating on a new line of mouthpieces we were very interested to see the results and, now that they have arrived in the shop, it looks to have been a very fruitful development! Featuring three different cup widths and two different depths, the Alessi Signature mouthpieces provide a great mix of response and color attributes, with a comfortable yet flexible rim and excellent stability!
