13.08.2024 • Driving Cathu SF to Bowen • Cathu Forest Rd, Bruce Hwy, Don St, • 131km • 00:00 – Cathu State Forest campground. Small pocket of rainforest, well shaded. Drop toilet. Pissed down rain for 3 days • 01:30 – Track is pretty rough and was wet on the way out due to the rain. Typical state forest track, took it easy with the trailer on • 08:40 - Cow • 32:00 – A few Hip Camps through here • 35:30 – Bruce Hwy, right Mackay, left Bowen • 1:07:00 – Proserpine Township. Didn’t go into town proper, just did the bypass • 1:09:30 – Airlie Beach and Whitsunday Islands turnoff • 1:40:00 – The ‘Big Mango’ • 1:46:00 – Bowen Township
