So I've always thought the lore in MapleStory was under appreciated, so here it is in video form so you don't have to learn it all yourselves. • Sorry for this video taking so long. I haven't had the right conditions to record the audio until just a few days ago when I got a chance (and unfortunately there are still issues with the audio but I decided to just work through it since it's been too long). • I posted about this in the description of the other video, but I really enjoyed looking into the lore original quests of the Episode 1 content. It still reminds me of the original Masteria content in regards to the way the monsters, quests, and items have actual reasons and relevant connections to the story being told, but I think the Bowman Pirate questlines for Amdusias and Crocell were a little on the lower quality side. I just can't see a reason for why the portion with Blackbull not believing in treasure should have been included... or some of the other little things. • One thing that's odd that I didn't mention in the video is the Dark Lord telling you he used to be a musician while building you Darkween's Monster Drum . Was Darkween supposed to be his stage name or was it a reference to something I'm just not understanding. I kind of think it just because it involves the pumpkin head, which is reminescent of Halloween. • Another thing is the mention of Athena Pierce's ancestor. I don't think her family has ever been mentioned elsewhere, but when this content was introduced in v.79, we had already received the Ellin Forest content in v.72, meaning we already knew that Athena Pierce had founded Henesys herself. With that information, she couldn't have been the descendent of a hero from Henesys that had previously saved the town. • Also, I don't really like how everyone just happens to have access to whatever this ancient book plot device is that basically reveals whatever they need.
