Blueprint is the third album by Irish guitarist Rory Gallagher. It was released as a vinyl record in 1973 but was re-released in 2000 in the CD format with two new tracks. • Album profile • Previously, as a solo artist, Gallagher had preferred to play only in a three piece band; power trios were his signature set, however, he liked the sound of keyboards, and decided to embellish his sound by adding keyboards into the band line-up. His new drummer, Rod de'Ath had just replaced Wilgar Campbell, Gallagher's former drummer, but he had earlier recommended Lou Martin as a keyboardist. This was the first album from Gallagher to feature another performer, and later he described him as an A-1 player in his interviews. The new line-up clicked and remained together for six years. • The band in this line-up played live on the BBC Two TV programme Old Grey Whistle Test featuring tracks including Hands Off , Seventh Son and Race the Breeze . • Track listing • All songs were composed by Rory Gallagher except where noted. • Side one • Walk on Hot Coals -- 6:59 • Daughter of the Everglades -- 6:09 • Banker's Blues -- 4:42 • Hands Off -- 4:27 • Side two • Race the Breeze -- 6:51 • Seventh Son of a Seventh Son -- 8:22 • Unmilitary Two-Step -- 2:45 • If I Had a Reason -- 4:27 • 2000 CD reissue • Stompin' Ground (alt version 10) -- 3:27 • Treat Her Right (Roy Head) -- 4:00 • Personnel • Rory Gallagher -- guitar, harmonica, mandolin, saxophone, vocals • Gerry McAvoy -- bass guitar • Lou Martin -- keyboards, guitar • Rod de'Ath -- percussion, drums, snare drums • with • Phil Dunn -- engineer • Andrew Pearce -- mastering • Andy Stephens -- engineer • Mark Jessett -- art direction • Tony Arnold -- remastering
