The Parramatta Light Rail officially opened on the 20th of December 2024 and was called the L4 Westmead Carlingford Line as part of the first stage of the Parramatta Light Rail project starting at Carlingford where the old railway line used to run by trains now converted to a light rail line, taking passengers to Parramatta CBD and onwards to Westmead.
