Driving around downtown Palm Springs California. • The vibrant and colorful downtown area of Palm Springs is home to a wide variety of shops, restaurants, art galleries, hotels, dispensaries and many more attractions. Millions of people come to Palm Springs every year from all over the world for vacations, sightseeing, business and personal events and other things to do. • During the downtown drive, you'll see that there are some national brands here like Starbucks, West Elm, Sephora, H M and others. But there are far more local businesses. And it's all in a gorgeous desert setting framed by breathtaking mountains. Plus the ever present palette of Palm Springs colors. • In this downtown drive, I wanted to make sure that you get to see some of my favorite sites, spots and streets. So, yes, I do the obligatory drive past the Marilyn Monroe statue just east of the Palm Springs Art Museum. And also the Aluminaire house just south of the museum. I also drive past the Kimpton Rowan a few times because I just like the way it looks. But you'll also see some of the smaller boutique hotels particularly those on Belardo Road and Indian Canyon Drive. • Some of our favorite places to eat in Palm Springs? • For breakfast /Brunch - Koffi, Cheeky's, Farm and Sherman's Deli • Lunch - Grand Central, 1501 Uptown Gastropub, Chicken Ranch, Blue Coyote Grill • Dinner - Trio, Sandfish, Eight4Nine Restaurant, Spencer's Restaurant, Bar Cecil, Tacquila • There are many, many more options. Lots of great food in Palm Springs. • So, what's up with the Porsches in this video? Those classic cars were part of the Porsche 356 Club Palms to Pines event. And, as you can see in the reflections of the store windows in the video, I'm driving my (almost classic) Porsche Cayman in most of the video.
