In South Africa, Lwandi visits his Xhosa brothers who - just like him - have to undergo a two month ritual to become adults. Covered in white clay to fight off evil spirits, they among other things undergo a circumcision. • vpro Metropolis was a video project by Dutch broadcast organisation vpro, that ran from 2008 to 2015.
