This video is an example of how aviation is supporting the fight against Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. All of the advertising proceeds from this video will be donated to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. • In Los Angeles, a National Airlines B747-400BCF just arrived from Wuhan, China via Anchorage, Alaska. 53,270 Kgs of urgent medical supplies are being offloaded in just 40 mins. This was a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) charter so it was given high priority. I joined the B747 captain for a tour of the B747 BCF. • My next mission started at Anchorage to board a National Airlines passenger B757-200. This B757 just flew over the Pacific Ocean from Guangzhou, China via Kansai to Anchorage. The flight continues from Anchorage to Chicago carrying boxes of medical masks. This was also a FEMA charter. The flight departed at 05:00 and I was the only passenger onboard. After take-off, a beautiful sunrise over Alaska could be seen from the window. We arrived in Chicago after a 5.5 hours eventless flight. It was great to see the cargo get immediately offloaded. I am glad to have been part of this cargo mission and able to document how aviation is supporting the fight of COVID-19 pandemic.
