First test the voltage coming into the controller to make sure the transformer is not bad. It will be marked as 24VAC. The voltage will be higher than that when tested. • 0:50 Close up look. • 1:00 Turn on a zone from the controller and test the incoming voltage to the terminal. One probe goes on the common terminal and the other probe goes on the zone you just turned on. If the voltage is below 24, then the controller is not working properly.
