Google Voice to Text video. This is a quick video that takes you through voice to text in Google Voice. Google Voice can really save you a lot of time. You simply click on the button and start talking and it will follow your voice and type it all out for you. I've been using Google voice now for a few months and it really has saved me a lot of time. You can even punctuate with it! It will work in other languages, not just English. • This video shows you how you might be able to save time by speaking into the computer audio input. You can use a microphone or headset mic in order to record your voice. The AI that Google uses also works on and behind Google Translate. If you use Google regularly, this short tutorial shows you some examples of what you can do with the Google Voice to Text feature within Google Docs. At the time of recording, this was a feature that I started to use more and more. Sometimes you might prefer to simply type text into the word processor as you would normally do. However, for some people this is a potentially time-saving device, although it takes practice to get your head around how to operate the voice controls, such as colour changes, new line breaks and punctuation. This video is only five minutes but gives some examples and shows you how easy it is to do. The voice to text in action can be found by using Google Drive or Google Apps. If you have a Gmail account then you will access this feature already. In your document, give it a title, and use the tools button and click on voice typing. A quick demonstration is shown in this short video. You obviously have the option to edit the document after you have spoken. Google has got better at the way you can punctuate and use different colours. Although there is always the option to do things manually, for some personal reasons you might find it convenient to use the voice controls. But it does take practice. This might help you if you are teaching online or working from home. This is a simple educational technology that helps you write documents by using your voice rather than typing everything into the document.
