A step by step tutorial explaining how to make a macrame leaf wall hanging. Learn macrame at home with our tutorials and DIY kits. Our tutorials contain helpful tips to make use of when learning macrame so take advantage of our others too! • You will need: • 3mm macrame cord - 3 pieces (50cm not 100cm as shown in the video) • 20 pieces of each colour (15cm) • 1 piece (80cm) • Scissors • 3 wooden beads • A comb • Steps: • 1: Fold the cord in half and slide a wooden bead on to it. • 2: Now lay it flat, take a piece of cord (15cm) and fold it in half. • 3: Slide the cord under the other piece with the bead on it. Now take another piece, pull it through the loop and take the ends of the cord on the right and bring it through the loop made from the cord on the left. • 4: Pull it tight and push the knot upwards. • 5: Repeat with the rest of the cords, making sure each knot is close and begin separating each piece with your fingers. • 6: Comb out the cord and trim the edges to make a leaf shape. • 7: Repeat each step with the other two colours to make 2 more leaves. • 8: Now take a macramé leaf, fold the cord down above the bead and twist the 2 loops back so they are next to each other. • 9: You can now slide it on to the dowel and repeat it with the other 2 leaves. • 10: Take an extra piece of cord and tie 2 knots on each side of the dowel to secure it. • 11: Trim the excess cord and your macramé wall is ready to display! • Check out our website for art inspiration: https://www.daslia.com/ • Visit our Etsy shop for handmade gifts, paintings and wall hangings: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Daslia • Daily posts on Instagram: / giftsbydaslia • Our Pinterest: https://pin.it/7iLGJny
