He left heaven’s glory (Isaiah 6:1-3) and condescended to be a man, so that He could have flesh and blood to die for our sins, as our perfect Substitute and sinless sacrifice. He paid the price of all our sins in full. • Counsellor: Jesus is God and has all wisdom and counsel; because of Christ, God the Holy Spirit dwells in all true believers of Jesus. He counsels them through God’s Word. (John 14:26) • The mighty God: Jesus is God and He is Almighty. • The everlasting Father: Jesus is the Giver of everlasting life to all those who trust in Him as their only Saviour.
