Founded by J. Krishnamurti in 1969, Brockwood Park School is an international boarding school for 14 to 19 year-olds. Located in the beautiful countryside of the South Downs National Park in Hampshire, UK, it provides a holistic education for around 60 students. It is inspired by Krishnamurti’s teachings and is the only school of its kind in Europe. • Life is unlimited and immeasurable, and Brockwood’s approach to teaching reflects this. Beyond the usual acquisition of knowledge, the emphasis is on providing an atmosphere where learning takes place naturally - an atmosphere without reward and punishment, comparison, grades and awards, with small class sizes. Students are assisted in creating a programme of studies that challenges and extends them, including projects, portfolios and A-level exams. • Sitting quietly each morning is rare for teenagers. At Brockwood Park School, the effects of this togetherness are readily apparent: students become more self-reflective and better able to pay attention and listen to others. Self-knowledge is valued at Brockwood, and self-reflection is encouraged. • The school fosters an inclusive, affectionate atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. Students often describe Brockwood as a large family, where they take responsibility for the school and care for it. This nurturing environment encourages the formation of lifelong friendships and provides a wide range of physical and artistic activities, along with tasty, nutritious food. • Brockwood’s intentions ensure an integrated approach to life, which helps nurture students and gives careful attention to their mental and emotional well-being, preparing students for the pressures of today’s world. • Find out more at https://brockwood.org.uk
