Mahindra XUV700 is primarily available in two variant options – MX Series and the AX Series. The MX Series is available in both petrol and diesel engine options with a manual transmission unit as standard. • On the other hand, the AX Series is available in three trims – AX3, AX, and the AX7. Moreover, the AX Series is available in both manual and automatic options. This variant also offers an AWD option in the top-spec automatic trim. • Market introduction: • Mahindra announced the prices for its most advanced tech-enabled and feature-loaded SUV, the XUV700 on 30 September, 2021. • Engine and specifications: • The MX Series is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version gets a 2.0-litre Turbo GDi mStallion engine that generates 195bhp at 5,000rpm and 380Nm of torque between 1,750rpm and 3,000rpm. The diesel version gets a 2.2-litre Commonrail Turbo diesel mHawk engine that generates 153bhp at 3,750rpm and 360Nm of torque between 1,500 – 2,800rpm. Both engines are mated to a six-speed manual transmission. • On the other hand, the AX Series is also available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol engine is the familiar 2.0-litre Turbo GDi mStallion engine that generates 195bhp at 5,000rpm and 380Nm of torque between 1,750rpm and 3,000rpm.This engine is available in both manual and automatic transmission options. The diesel version is powered by a 2.2-litre Commonrail Turbo diesel mHawk engine which generates 182bhp at 3,500rpm. The manual transmission unit of this engine produces 420Nm of torque between 1,600 – 2,800rpm, while the automatic option generates 450Nm between 1,750 – 2,800rpm. • Exterior design: • The XUV700 is the first model in the company’s product line-up to feature the new brand logo. The vehicle gets a black grille frame which is complemented by large headlamps and canine-shaped LED DRLs. The vehicle gets futuristic flush door handles on the sides, while ORVMs are power-adjustable and also offer built-in turn indicators. Moreover, the MX Series and the AX3 variant get 17-inch steel wheels, while the AX5 and the AX7 variants offer 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, respectively. The rear profile is adorned with arrow-like LED taillights. • Interior and features: • As for the interior, based on the variant, the XUV700 adorns leatherette seats, and leather steering and gear lever. The base MX Series gets an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and a seven-inch instrument cluster. The AX Series gets a dual HD 10.25-inch infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital cluster. Additionally, the higher variants offer features such as Wireless Android Auto, AdrenoX Connect with 70 connected features, six-way power seats with memory function, and more. • Colours: • The MX variant is available in four colour options – Everest White, Midnight Black, Dazzling Silver, and Red Rage. The AX Series is available in five colour options – Everest White, Midnight Black, Dazzling Silver, Red Rage, and Electric Blue. • Seating capacity: • The MX Series is limited to a five-seat configuration, while the AX Series can be had in either five-seat or seven-seat options (selective variants). • Mahindra XUV700 price starts at ₹ 12.49 Lakh and goes upto ₹ 22.99 Lakh.
