Nuclear Power Part 1 – Pressurized Water Reactors • This video is what hopefully the first part of a multi-video series on how nuclear power plants work. The video explains some basics of the fission process and some details about how pressurized water reactors work. PWRs are very common in the United States as domestic and commercial power sources as well as the types of reactors most commonly used onboard nuclear powered sea vessels. • This is the first official upload for my new channel and as such I am using this as a sort of test video to see how the format will work for me, but I also tried to make it about something interesting too. If you have any comments / suggestions or ideas for videos or anything else, please leave a comment. Please enjoy the video and I hope you learn something! I will hopefully be uploading more videos in the near future so please subscribe for your next Smart Attack! • • Links for more information: • PG E – Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant: • http://www.pge.com/en/safety/systemwo... • • Hyperphysics – Pressurized Water Reactors • http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/...
