Glow-in-the-dark. How does it work? In this video I show a bunch of phosphorescent samples and explain the difference between fluorescence and phosphorescence. • Link to my video about fluorescence: • Fantastic Fluorescence! • If you are interested in more you should search for chromium-activated zinc gallogermanate (Zn3Ga2Ge2O10 : 0.5%Cr3+). They glow invisble in near infrared but can glow for up to two weeks in the dark! • Hopefully the scientists will invent something similar that glow in the visible range for so long.
