The role of Vicki Anderson, portrayed seemingly effortlessly here by Miss Dunaway, is a timeless example of the best. An independent woman while intelligently being aware of the power of her femininity. A class act. • Although filmed in 1968 the movie is primarily a lesson in how a modern woman manages her life in the contemporary world without downgrading elegance. All those quiet and unobtrusively subtle hints where women hold the cards - if they choose to. • Because what is so charismatic about the movie is the on screen chemistry between Dunaway and McQueen. The role would have been very different one indeed had McQueen outmanoeuvred a male opponent. • A lesson, perhaps, for 21st century women who renounce their femininity rather too easily as an excuse for winning. • The background music is Windmills of my Mind by Sting, from the soundtrack to the 1999 remake of the movie. I love Sting's jazzy delivery of Michel Legrand's amazing lyrics. • The Three Graces - Elegance, Beauty and Style. • My Philosophy for a sublime way of living. • My aim - to bring a touch of old world grace and discreet glamour to the everyday. • Having class - it's not half the battle - it's the whole war • Also on Tumblr : • http://bellisvintage.tumblr.com/archive • http://bellisvintagemono.tumblr.com/a... • • Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for fair use for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.
