In our latest Dissected Series feature we take a deep dive into the world of USWE hydration packs. Several months ago USWE sponsored our Budget Bike Shootout and it was our first real chance to spend time using the Swedish brand’s hydration packs. USWE, pronounced you-swii, got their start after spending lots of time off-road and enduro riding in the remote and rugged areas of Sweden. Epic days of deep mudholes, rugged hill climbs and packing all the essentials to survive these adventures led them to this moment, when they knew they could do better. Wanting to create a durable and comfortable pack that eliminated the “Dancing monkey” on their back was the catalyst to starting USWE packs and if they’ve done one thing at all, it’s eliminate that dang monkey. • Back in 2007, the founders went out and bought an old Husqvarna sewing machine to start testing their concept and the first prototypes were born. Over a decade later and their backpacks feature an award winning four-point suspension design, are made to be 100% bounce free, and come in a variety of sizes.
