Detailed instructions to connect the Oaks App with the smart lock. • Step 1: Register as a user. You can register using an email or phone number. Choose your preference and add a password. The system will send you a verification code. Add the verification code and click the Register button. You can add Optional security questions to provide extra security to your door lock. • Step 2: Connect the door lock to the app. Make sure your phone Bluetooth is on, and click the big plus button on your app. Select the nearby lock, give a name and add the lock. • Step 3: Unlock the door. On the App homepage, click the lock button once for the door to unlock. • Step 4: Lock the door. There are two methods to do this. Either you can long press the lock button on the Oaks App homepage or you can allow the door to auto-lock by closing the door. • For the auto-lock, once you push the door, the door hinge automatically locks in a few seconds. You should hear a long beep to know when the door is locked. • Step 5: Create an e-Key for your door lock. Go to the Oaks App homepage, and select Send e-Key . Add the user you want to share the e-Key with. You can select the user by looking them up on your phone contacts or by adding their contact detail (phone number or email). Choose the type of e-Key you want to share (Permanent, cyclic, One-Time etc.) from the top bar and add the details. Click Send once done. • *Ensure the e-Key recipient has the Oaks app downloaded on their phone, and is a registered user for this function to work. • Step 6: Generate Passcode. Go to the Oaks App homepage, and select Generate Passcode . Select the type of passcode, add the details, and click Generate . Once done, click the top right button on the page to share the passcode by SMS/text, email etc. to your contact. • *The passcode recipient does not have to be registered on the app for this function to work. • Step 7: Add an IC Card or FOB. A FOB can be the Oaks Card or the Orange wrist band. Go to the Oaks App homepage, and select IC Cards . Once you enter the IC card page on the app, click the top right icon (three dots) and select Add IC Card . Add all the details and click Next. • To connect the FOB to the door lock, hold the FOB against Number 5 on the keypad of the door lock. Once connected, the app will notify you with a pop up. To unlock the door using the FOB, hold the FOB against Number 5 on the door lock. • Additional Information: • 1. For details on settings, click the top left button on the Oaks App Homepage. Choose Settings to see current settings of the Oaks App. • 2. For an inquires, reach us by clicking on Customer Service . • 3. To reset the lock, unscrew the screw at the back of the lock. Hold the small round button on the bottom of the Printed Circuit Board till you hear a double beep. • 4. Currently IC Card feature works only on iPhone. • 5. The remote feature is on the App is on its way and will be available soon.
