Today we are in one of the rarest cars ive ever seen in person. This, is the Golden Era Bugatti. • The Golden Era is a specialty one off that uses a Bugatti Chiron Super Sport as its base, with the 8 Litre W-16 engine and the special long-tailed carbon-fiber bodywork from the 300-mph Super Sport 300+. • ‪@bugatti‬ claims it’s the “most challenging bespoke project” the automaker has done throughout its history. The project took two years and over 400 man-hours of hand sketched art of 45 of the brands iconic models. The significance of this specific car marks the end of a solely combustible engine by Bugatti. • The car is painted using a bespoke shade of gold called ‘Doré’ and a metallic variant of Bugatti’s signature ‘Nocturne Black’. • There are 26 hand-drawn sketches of vintage icons such as the Type 41 Royale, the Type 57 SC Atlantic, aircraft, trains, as well as the signatures of Ettore and Jean Bugatti on the right hand side. • On the left side there are 19 sketches of the modern age Bugatti's such as the EB110, the Chiron, the Veyron, the mythical La Voiture Noire, the Centodieci, Divo, Bolide and a 3,712 part representation of the W16 engine. • On the left are 19 sketches depicting Bugatti’s modern age, starting from the Romano Artioli era to the acquisition by the Volkswagen Group in the late ’90s. Legendary cars like the Bugatti EB110, Veyron, Chiron, and the mythical La Voiture Noire appear with Chiron-based derivatives like the Centodieci, Divo, and Bolide. Of course, the W16 engine is there, too • On each of the door panels, three Bugatti icons were hand-applied with a bespoke paint and fine paint brush that would allow one of the design team to draw directly onto the leather.
