Edamame with a garlic sweet soy sauce 🤤 My favourite snack in the world is Edamame, I can eat edamame every single day ( but I limit myself to 1-2 times a week lol ) and I love it on it’s own ( just with salt ) or when I’m in the mood , I make a delicious sweet garlicky soy sauce to pair it with. It is absolutely delicious and reminds me of a sushi restaurant I went to in Yorkville that had the BEST Edamame with a garlic soy sauce on the side. I hope you try Edamame and love it. You will need: • ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • frozen edamame beans ( I used 1/2 a bag for 2 people ) • 1/4 cup tamari or soy sauce • 2-3 tablespoons maple syrup , honey or agave ( up to you ) • pinch of chilli flakes • 1 minced garlic clove • ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • Please note 📝 The sweetener is really up to you because you can make it a sweet or as tangy as you like. If you don’t like sauces you can serve it on its own sprinkled with salt. If you have never had edamame , you eat the bean inside and leave out the skin. Feel free to use soy sauce, tamari , or coconut amino’s depending on your lifestyle. • ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • 1.In a small sauce pan on the stove on medium heat add your soy sauce, maple syrup, garlic, and chilli flakes and stir. Stir it while it heats up for about 1 to 2 minutes or until the garlic cooks off. Take it off the stove in a separate pot boil some water. Once it comes to a boil you can add in your frozen edamame and you can boil it for 2 to 3 minutes or as per the package instructions. Drain out the water from the edamame and serve it with your sauce.
