The disease is characterized by granulomatous inflammation of the vessel walls, leading to thickening, fibrosis, and stenosis, which compromise blood flow. Patients often present with constitutional symptoms like fever, fatigue, weight loss, and claudication of extremities. As the disease progresses, vascular complications such as aneurysms, occlusions, and pulselessness in the affected arteries may develop. The hallmark pathological feature includes infiltration by mononuclear cells, giant cells, and the formation of granulomas, primarily targeting the tunica media. Diagnosis is supported by imaging modalities like angiography, MRI, or CT, showing characteristic string of beads appearance or narrowed vessels. Management involves immunosuppressive therapy, such as corticosteroids and biologics, to reduce inflammation and prevent progression. • #TakayasuArteritis #Vasculitis #FMGEPrep #NEETPG #USMLE #MedicalPathology #VascularDisease #GranulomatousInflammation #PulselessDisease #AorticPathology #MedicalEducation #StudySmart #ExamPrep #DoctorGoals #FutureDoctors #MedSchool #MedicalStudents #PathologyNotes #medicalanimations #fmge #fmgevideos #rapidrevisionfmge #fmge2024 #mbbslectures #nationalexitexam #nationalexittest #neetpg #usmlepreparation #usmlestep1 #fmge #usmle #drgbhanuprakash #medicalstudents #medicalstudent #medicalcollege #neetpg2025 #usmleprep #usmlevideos #usmlestep1videos #medicalstudents #neetpgvideos #usmlestep2videos #takayasuarteritis
