Rattan EBike Safety Incident What Happened 👈😨

Welcome to Jason Does Things! • Well, all I can say is that I feel fortunate to be alive, because this incident really had me shaken up! • Upon getting on to the bike, my key accidentally touched the charging port, resulting in an immediate Bang! It was similar to an M-80 going off on my hand. The battery then began spitting an 8 inch electrical flame out of the port until it fizzled out about ten seconds later. • Luckily I was wearing my gloves, as the explosion would have certainly damaged my hand and my glove was charred. • Also, the electrical arc had instantly melted the tip of the key and charred it as well. • Needless to say, I reached out to Rattan and after about a dozen emails, they reluctantly provided a new battery.
