Unboxing the D-Technik (CSA) sa vz.58 Side-Folder Rifle, chambered in 7.62x39. This rifle is made by Czech Small Arms, also known as CZ-USA, and formerly known as D-Technik. The newer line is imported and made US compliant via parts conversion by CzechPoint. Th SA VZ 58 7.62 military variant is now being imported as a tactical fixed stock rifle, sporter configuration rifle, and a vz.58 pistol as well! Got a great price on it, for new in box condition, with all accessories, including sling, and manual on a cd, magazine. Wish a vz.58 bayonet was included, but those are easy enough to find at a budget price (https://ebay.to/2rbl4HC), for upgrading later on. Compared to the vz2008, there is no question as to the quality difference being much better on the sa vz.58. Fit, finish, action, handguards, magazine, and easy of field stripping were all in favor of the CZ vz.58. The vz58 and vz2008 variants also have a different action, using a short-stroke gas piston. The 30-round 7.62x39 magazines are also of different design to the ak47/akm, and are not interchangeable. Due to the vz.58/2008 being less popular on the civilian retail market, less aftermarket parts and accessories are available for upgrades and customization. Fortunately the parts which are available, are from reputable companies, are the more popular things being switched on a factory rifle.
