Hi guys. This is a video tutorial about how to make a Viking ship (Drakkar) out of popsicle and bamboo sticks. • Drakkar was the ship which prevailed on the northern seas during the first millennium, travelled from Scandinavia and floated over the waters of Iceland, Greenland and North America. • We will need: • • Canvas • • Toothpicks • • Bamboo sticks (1 mm) for the oars • • Bamboo sticks (2 mm) for the deck and the hull • • Bamboo sticks (0.12 in - 3 mm) for the mast • • Twine (0.4 in - 1 mm) • • Hardwood sheet for the deck • • Popsicle sticks (4.5 in - 11 cm) for the supports of the deck and the dragon’s head • • Popsicle sticks (6 in - 15 cm) for the keel, the stern and the prow • • Popsicle sticks (8 in - 20 cm) for the shields • • Wooden cubes (0.4 in - 1 cm) for the supports of the deck • Special thanks to Chulain Music for the tracks.
