This is my journey of traveling to Abuna Yemata Guh Church in the Tigray Region of Northern Ethiopia. This is definitely a 'technical' climb. It's possible to do completely without ropes, although you can pay extra for ropes, and in some sections it adds an extra level of 'reassurance'. I can just picture little dinosaurs millions of years ago roaming around the valley below the cliff ledge I'm walking on. • Pro tip: Be sure to put sunscreen on your feet too if you don't want them to burn!
