Although these founding United States documents were heavily inspired by the Biblical doctrines of liberty—I don’t think these things ought to be bound within the covers of the Holy Scriptures. The pledge of Allegiance was written in 1892, but “Under God” was not added until 1954. And I’m sure Lee Greenwood is a good guy and all, but we’re talking about the writings of men being bound together with the writings of God.
