Make sure that your plant is not root-bound. If your Bird's Nest Fern is root or pot bound then pot it in nice well-draining soil one pot size up. Make sure to water thoroughly. • If you are noticing yellow leaves or translucent leaves, you are probably watering it too much. Scale back and let the first two inches dry out before you water. • The number one issue with Bird's Nest Fern is watering in the middle which will cause 'nest rot'.
