This 3D-printed robot, through the clever use of planetary gearing, converts simple rotation to a walking motion. • This robot uses a single 6V electric motor equipped with a speed reducer (can be bought for around $5 on eBay), four AA batteries and a few pieces of wire. There are 11 involute gears in this mechanism, and 36 parts overall. • To download the .STL files for this mechanism, and for detailed and illustrated assembly instructions, please go to http://www.otvinta.com/download08.html. • Visit http://www.otvinta.com for other 3D-printable models and tutorials.
