Cleaning Painting and Rustproofing My Antique Oneida Cyclone

In this video, I paint, clean, and apply a rust inhibitor to my 2002 Oneida Cyclone Dust Collector. The unit has been in unheated storage for the last 20 years, and during that time it has gotten a bit rusty — both red rust and white zinc oxide. After painting the rustiest parts (the mounting ring and motor plate) with galvanizing paint, I painted the motor dark blue, then used STA-BIL Rust Stopper and Scotch-Brite pads to buff out the remaining rust and protect the metal surface against future rust. If need be, I will clean the unit in place and apply a graphene protector on it at a later date if needed. • STA-BIL Rust Stopper - https://amzn.to/4cmeSSL • 3M Scotch-Brite Scuff Pads - https://amzn.to/3TM6C7s • Thank you for watching Trap Door Woodworks and have yourself a great day! • #OneidaAir • #DustCollector • #Cyclone
