Before transplanting, you'll want to give your plants a drink. We recommend a mixture of water and Neptune's Fish Seaweed fertilizer to reduce the stress your plant goes through with transplanting. • Step 2. In the area directly around where your plant will go, sprinkle THREE tablespoons of Espoma Tomato-Tone into the soil. After sprinkling on the Tomato-Tone, you'll want to mix it in with the top one inch layer of soil. Espoma Tomato-Tone is a soil amendment was specifically designed for tomatoes and provides essential nutrients and minerals your plants need. • Step 3. Break off the two leaves that are closest to the bottom of your plant, and bury your plant in the soil up to where those two leaves were on the stem. Give the soil directly around the base of the plant a good watering to make sure the roots soak up the nutrients quickly and adjust to their new homes.
