Before transplanting, you'll want to give your plants a drink. We recommend a mixture of water and Neptune's Fish Seaweed fertilizer to reduce the stress your plant goes through with transplanting. • Step 2. In the area directly around where your plant will go, sprinkle THREE tablespoons of Espoma Tomato-Tone into the soil. After sprinkling on the Tomato-Tone, you'll want to mix it in with the top one inch layer of soil. Espoma Tomato-Tone is a soil amendment was specifically designed for tomatoes and provides essential nutrients and minerals your plants need. • Step 3. Break off the two leaves that are closest to the bottom of your plant, and bury your plant in the soil up to where those two leaves were on the stem. Make sure you firm up (pack in) the soil around your tomato plant to ensure it has a good support system. • Step 4. Give the soil directly around the base of the plant a good watering to make sure the roots soak up the nutrients quickly and adjust to their new homes. Pay attention the soil around your plant after transplanting to prevent it from drying out. You want to keep it well watered, so the roots will grow down into the ground, instead of staying shallow and spreading out (plants will dry out quicker when this happens). • You can buy Neptune's Fish Seaweed Fertilizer here: https://amzn.to/3sSIGkh • You can grab a bag of Espoma Tomato-Tone here: https://amzn.to/3UhiKe2 • Amazon Associates Disclaimer: GrowJoy participates in the Amazon Associate Program, so we do earn money from qualifying purchases made through advertising and linking to Amazon.com products.
