This is a trial run of a pinion gear, ring gear and gear hub produced by shapeways. The original is found on the Class C Climax undergoing restoration at Cass, WV. This gear combo is in 1:20 scale and printed in stainless steel. The ring gear is attached to the hub with 1-72 machine screws.The drive shaft is 1/4 and the axle is 9/32 drill rod. Pinion and hub are keyed with 1/16 key stock and held with 0-80 set screws. Cross box, spacers and collars are fabricated from brass stock.
