Many people have a smart thermostat to manage their Carrier Infinity system. The touchscreen LCD for the smart thermostat is easy to use. There’s also the Carrier Home app you can use to manage it, but what if you just want to manage the device using your Apple HomeKit? At face value, that is a definite no-go as the smart thermostat does not support Apple HomeKit. • Well, it is now possible to access your Carrier Infinity smart thermostat from your Apple HomeKit app via Homebridge. While Homebridge can be run from a Raspeberry Pi device, Homebridge can also be run on your Mac Mini M1 as a service. If you haven’t installed Homebridge on your Mac Mini M1, watch my video tutorial on how to do it. It’s easy and in less than 10 minutes, you will have the foundation laid to add scores of smart devices to your home that otherwise would not be compatible with Apple HomeKit. • In this video, I install the plugin for Carrier Infinity which allows me to manage the functions of my Carrier Infinity smart thermostat from HomeKit. I’m not one who is eager to run app on app on app to manage smart devices. I would rather simply use HomeKit and manage them from there. • Please give me a like and subscribe.
