I'm guessing that few have tried the real thing (I have, we had an Overdrive Special on the road back in '89) so the Lunar Drive might serve to give you a reasonable hint of that special sonic cream. Regardless of the name association, the Lunar Drive is a great pedal anyway. It's full of dynamics, no harsh tones, three different clipping options and can be used for everything from clean boost right through to classic rock crunch.
