As well as unboxing the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, here's my one week verdict after using it as my full time smartphone! • My favourite bendy blower in 2024 is probably still the OnePlus Open, especially the new Apex Edition. But the Pixel 9 Pro Fold has a lot to offer including the usual AI guff (like the Samsung Z Fold 6), incredibly bright screens and its usual super-smart image processing. The camera hardware isn't as advanced as the regular Pixel 9 Pro, but you'll still capture slick, realistic photos any time of day. Meanwhile the Galaxy Z Fold 6 likes to boost those tones to really catch the eye. • The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold can handle some light gaming but does heat up quickly, while Samsung's foldable phone stays cool under pressure. But when it comes to battery life, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is the winner here. Even if that charging speed is ridiculously slow. • I like the multi-tasking split-screen experience on both foldable smartphones here.
