Instagram / debdut_youtube • Facebook / debdutyoutube • When International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON)’s Temple of Vedic Planetarium (TOVP) at Mayapur, West Bengal, gets completed and opens its doors for the devotees by Gaura Purnima in 2022, it will become the world’s biggest temple. • The sanctum sanctorum of the temple which is spread over 1.5 acres can accommodate over 10,000 devotees and facilitate them sing sankeertanas. Apart from being the largest Vedic centre, it will have many specialities including the largest dome. • TOVP Chairman Alfred Ford, great grandson of Henry Ford, founder of the Ford Motor Company, said the TOVP was coming up with a cost of $100 million. Already, $60 million have been pooled and another $20 million have been pledged. The target is to raise another $20 million to complete the temple by 2022, he says. • On Sunday, ISKCON Secunderabad organised special pujas to the ‘padukas’ (footwear) of Lord Balarama from ISKCON’s world Headquarters, Mayapur.
