From the village of Baffoussam in the department of Noun, a distance of 40 minutes, one can see Mount Mbapit, a peak with a lake in its crater: lake Mbapit. • This lake was formed following the infamous Mount Mapit eruption. • This lake is also referred to as a mystique and bottomless lake.
